Looking for a good all around depower
I've been flying my tensor 4.2 for a couple years now, and have used it with a harness, and gotten decent at kite landboarding
I've been looking to get a bigger kite that could be used both on land, and in the water because I want to get more into kiteboarding in the near
future. I have some experience flying in water, took a lesson and borrowed a friends hydra for the day to mess with. I will probably use it 50/50
water and land. I weigh 165. I'm leaning towards a 12m PL or flysurfer, but have read that 12m PL won't pull as hard as a fkysurfer the same size.
Someone please help steer me in the right direction. Also if anyone is pretty local to Delaware with equipment I could try out that would be awesome.
Thanks guys

When comparing the two kites you have to keep in mind that the Peter Lynn is a non-bridled Arc. It has a similar shape as an LEI and shares the samef
Projected Area or amount of wing actually pulling and doing work. A bridled kite like a Flysurfer is going to be flatter and have more projected area
in a given size, thus more power.
For example a 12m Charger 2 is roughly the same as most 9-10m bridled depower foils.
Other closed cells to consider, depending on your budget or performance needs, would be HQ Matrixx 2 and Ozone Chrono V2.
Bang for the buck the Matrixx 2 is a heck of a kite.

EDBsKites you should come to Willwood Beach buggy bash: http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=31611
If you hang around here long enough, you will find that kites just start showing up in the mail and money starts disappearing out of your pockets.
PL Venom II 16m, HQ Apex III 7.5m, Pansh Flux 2m & 4m
Kite Trike
Blake - US35
With much blessing comes great responsibility.

I am biased because I SOooooo LOVE my 15m Synergy but ..... Here is one http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=32453
I was just telling somebody in U2U how it is my go to kite and the one I take traveling light. I can fly it from about 6mph up. It starts to produce
usable power at about 8 or 9 on a fast surface. It's sweet between about 12 and 20 and I can hang on well into the 20'swith clean wind and light
weight.
Like Feyd explains, arcs are confusing and scary looking until you get them in the air. They take on areal arc shape compared to a bridled kite and
generally serve up the power different. When the boys trade down to their 3 and 4m FB foils I know my 15m is in it's sweet spot!!!
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .
