backstrappin
I'll have one in a week or so to cross another item off the kite bucket list.
Has anyone successfully deployed the forward dive emergency move. :D
I'll have to practice that one
Thanks Sam, for pointing me in the direction of the manual.

... and hope it does not get entangled around your neck and pull your head off. And I'm thinking if you can't handle the pull of the kite ... A. You
have too much sail for given conditions. B. You don't have the "Iron Man Grip" yet and need to get an NSD Powerball. http://www.nsdpowerstore.com/#!powerball-strength-training/c... :P

I'm not sure what could go wrong. The instructions are pretty clear you just have to fall on your face with your hands up. :D
I'm doubting it will be successful, but I have to find out for myself why it's not mainstream. Always like trying different methods and this seems to be one of those things that very few people have even tried??
Don't know that though. Did people use them back in the day at the buggy bashes?
@cochise: no pony tail so I'm good on that and will take it easy because I don't thing I want to wear a helmet with it either.
I'd like to think I've given myself the best possible outcome with acquiring some beginner friendly foils.

Superman into a dirt angel w/o a helmet? You might get 9.0 if you stick the landing .

"Superman into a dirt angel". I spit my drink out on that one. That's funny but probably not far from the truth.

I had one of these. They are good for recreational flying, scudding etc. I can't remember a downside to these except it feels a little weird, like
being pushed rather than pulled. Comfortable to wear tho and easy to get out of in an emergency although you might lose your T-shirt.
Great to pass around without having to rig up harnesses. In the buggy and it wasn't good, if I remember rightly, the backstrap kept sliding around my
back and pulling me off center.
