WTB: Flysurfer Viron2 DLX 4/6m or Ocean Rodeo React

Looking for a trainer, either a Flysurfer Viron2 DLX 4/6m or Ocean Rodeo React. Hopefully someone has one laying around gathering dust and willing to sell to a newbie.

I don't think either of those are going to work in inland Virginia. I would go bigger. What does everyone else think

As a pure trainer the viron would probably work. It should get off the ground in about 6-8knts no problem. Won't generate much pull at those wind speeds but if you're just looking to get a feeling for how a kite feels it will do. The React will take a little more LEI's are significantly less efficient flyers and therefore it takes more speed before they get flying. I would say for the react you're probably looking for at least 10knts. Again even at 10 knts the react won't generate much pull so you'd still solidly be in trainer mode not traction mode.

So for my money I wouldn't go less than a 6m. That would allow you to get it in the air, play around and keep it in the long run as a high wind kite. I would also certainly go foil.

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah I meant to grab these strictly as trainers to learn kite instincts and to get friends interested. But it would certainly be an added bonus if they can be used for high winds later on. I was leaning towards the Viron 6m. Now if only someone would be willing to part with their gently used one...
