sons first board run!

My son (oldest) made his first run on the board today. He did well after a couple of luffs. Nice runs down wind, beam, and closed beam! Equipment used-- Blade IV 4.9, and Ground Industries Patrol 106 board! Winds were dirty 10 to 15 mph but great fun!! as usual:thumbup:

Way to go Tridude!! Thanks for sharing the pics.

Are you enjoying the board (rather than static jumping)?

Hey Da V,

Yes I am enjoying the board--can be frustrating at times but kind of learning as I go! Another deminsion to kiting rather than jumping all the time. Now I can ride a while, then jump, so its nice to have options. Once I refine my board skills I need to start thinking about depower--Ozone, FS, or the new Montana 2 perhaps, any suggestions? as usual....................................

Depower is the way to go with a board. For me, fixed bridled for static flying and in the buggy. Depower for skis/snowboard and the mountainboard.

I've heard great things about the new Frenzy. Don't know much about the new Montana.

Thinking of trying water also? Then a Flysurfer or PL would be a great way to do everything...

Give me a call - we'll shoot the breeze...

Boarding is harder than it looks like it should be but its awesome when it comes together. Glad you're having fun. Once you perfrect that balancing act between leaning back and standing up and pushing on your forward foot vs. driving that rear heal... well then you'll be golden.

Kiting out here has been miserable since my speed run on the lake. We got heavy rains and warm temps for two weeks which melted all the ice and snow but made the fields too mushy to use. Now it is going to snow again today but not enough to ski on and the lakes are melted for the season .... urrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Same story up North. I NEED a ride. Even once the rains stops it will be a while before our fields dry out. I'm trying to figure out what season to get my hernias worked on. If I make it another year this looks like a good time to do it.

Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

There's never a good time for surgery and thankfully I've been able to avoid it thus far in my life.

Funny what we plan our lives around.

Good luck with your hernias.

saw a comercial today for motorcycle ice racing and got to thinking. A dirtsurfer with spikey tires might do the trick in those conditions. Would be interesting to see none the less:evil:

A studded Dirtsurfer on a frozen lake could be fun! Has it been done before??

to my knowledge it has not been done, yet. You still have that 30 day trial and could always go buy a pair of tires to try it with Da V:evil:

also thought about a dirtsurfer with ice hockey blades instead of tires, you know, for those frozen lake beds here in Las Vegas.
