Maybe even past it
It was early in the morning and there was nobody else around so grabbed the chance of a full length run

I saw that you posted you made the run to town - nice.
Usually when i'm over for a visit it's october or december and during the week days when it's windy and colder and not too busy with walkers and I may
have lost site of the flags a few times myself.
Just remembered on a higher gusty wind day, blowing straight offshore and Fiona and i went to the beach for a walk It looked like a group of students
out with their mate to watch him fly his flexifoil blade - looked like a 4-5m. Anyway I see the kite owner explaining it to one of his mates, this
other guy looked dress for class not kiting on the beach. I'm thinking when the kite gets above the sand dunes he's going to be in the high wind.
Sure enough a launch and it climbs about 2/3 to the zenith and he scuds high speed straight toward the water. He doesn't let go and keeps going
further out with the kite at the zenith and ends up almost waist deep fully clothed before he got the kite down and his buddies are killing themselves
laughing.
