I'm a beginner looking to get into a bit of land traction, Considering buying a Quadrifoil Q2000 (maybe a 4m?) or a Skytiger 26. I'm a bit worried with the q2000 though that I'll outgrow it fairly quickly and want a more powerful kite.. would the Skytiger be the better bet because of this? Which of these 2 would be more satisfying for power?

I'm open to other suggestions as well
If someone could help me out I'd appreciate it a lot.

Last summer I flew a 2005 against a new eliptical power kite in a buggy race across El Mirage. My friend and I rode wheel to wheel across the lake and back again finishing even. I guess that is a statement about the Q2000.

I also like the fact that you can rely on the kite to remain steady when you do tricks that involve letting of the controls. Eliptical kites will make a sudden dive to the deck.

Personally I fly the Competition X or KiteSurfer X-foils, but even after 14 years of traction flying, I still enjoy the Q from time to time.

Thanks very much for your help. I'm really considering making it a Q2000.. Any advice on which size to go with? I only weigh about 150lbs (70kg)

It's important to consider the land surface and wind speed when determining what size of kite is needed. Often it is best to have a series of kites that cover your expected wind range.

If you are to get just one kite and will buggy on sand in wind from 10-20mph, I would suggest a Q2004.
