If you can get them, go for Ozone handles all the way.

But honestly the Ozone handles are the most comfortable in my opinion.

thanks for your replies and looks like i can get ozone handles from power kite shop in 42cm length or i have a spare set of hq standard beamer handles which i believe are 37cm.

do you think the extra 5cm might help on a 7m bullet ? i have a bullet 5.5m which i fly on flexifoil handles and 25m lines but have not flown the 7m or anything bigger than my 5.5m bullet.

The fancy ones would. I could make barn door handles work.

Size is up to you as is the brand. I use a pair of 12 inch Libre handles on my 13m with 200foot lines.

The larger handles work better on larger kites that like brake input (usually race kites).
If the kite flies on the power lines then no matter what women say, size does not matter :thumbup:

7m isn't too big. I know I just used standard Flexi 37cm ( I think ) handles on mine. Give them a try before spending money on a set. You are correct to put this kite on handles. Mine flew like a rag on a crossover bar.

While I enjoyed my 7m Bullet it left me on the side lines in sub 5mph winds. Not exactly a great " day saver " of a low wind kite but well behaved with tons of pull.

Most Quality brands sell handles at a reasonable price. I have to wonder if Ozone is still selling handles now that they are out of the FB game?

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.

Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

hi and thanks for that bladerunner,i shall give it a go on my handles and lines off my 5.5m bullet first.

i was shocked to hear that the 7m is not really a no wind day saver as that was my thinking with it.

sadly i have not tried buggy again in a while as i had an accident at work and damaged my elbow so all hobbies on hold for about another week!.

I would suggest anything below 8.5 - 9.0m will be fine on standard handles and then above that the larger handles will work better.
This is not to say that standard handles will not work on larger kites.
I would see a low wind kite being 14.0m and above but then that has to get me moving in the buggy.

Boy are you in for an eye opener. Your in the US now, low wind is an 8m:lol:
But I agree with you, 12m is my goto kite in zero to 18mph wind, then it's on to the 10m for everything else.

Yeah......used to look at the forecast and if it wasn't 10mph then I wouldn't even bother going to the beach. :(:(
I guess now I have to make the most of what is available. and I will :karate:

I hope you aren't too upset to hear the 7m Bullet isn't a " day saver ". It's actually a pretty ideal size for your stage of progression.
I started out with a similar quiver. A 3m JoJo trainer, 4.5 and 7m Bullets. They were a good set accept for sub 6mph winds. Once my skills were up I picked up a 9m Blade as my low wind engine. Then .....

These days my " day saver " is 19m !

Get well soon.

Make your own handles.

PVC conduit and some mid-thick pipe foam insulation for extra cushy and winter friendly comfort and heat retention.

Half my kites have home made.

Fun to make..
