Flysurfer Speed Line Connecter rivet thingy

Not sure what it's called, but I managed to lose the little round metal line Connecter that connects the front line to the bridle. Anybody know where I can get replacements?

flysurfer.com :D

They're named in the manuals but I can't remember what they're called either. You don't have a spare one or two in the bag of spare parts in your kite bag?

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Mayhap Flysurfer ELCs (Easy Line Connectors) ?

Flysurfer direct order page can be found here for them:
http://shop.flysurfer.com/easy-line-connector.html

Not sure how bad the shipping cost burn is.

May want to check if the Flysurfer USA distributor (http://flysurfer-usa.com/contact-us) or one of the US Flysurfer dealers has them on hand (Chris at Hardwater Kiter or John at Powerzone Kitesports may be worth a holler).

ATB,
Sam

There is a shipping calculator on the checkout - I looked for the US and shipping on 4 connectors is 7 Euro by post.

It'll be more than that. I've ordered bulk spare parts lines and the shipping estimated same but when I called them they said that it's jacked up and that's the price for shipping within the EU.

When I get home tonight I'll see if I have any spares. My speed 3 came with a bag of pigtails and some other bits, but I can't remember if there are any connectors in there or not.

Well, this one was free. Someone I know mailed me a spare. It would be a good idea to get a few more incase it happens again. I couldn't figure out how to untangle the right side bridle without detaching the lines. Soon as I did that then the ELC slipped out of my fingers and into the snow. Gone! Just like that.

here is a picture of a quick knot you can tie to last you afew sessions if you lose an ELC...

if you lose one ELC from a main line you must swap the ELC from steering line. only use the knot trick on a steering line , the main gray lines have too much force.

leave about an inch hanging out the back of the knot so it can bed-in.

Thank you for the tip! I did what I wasn't supposed to and tied the ends together just so I could fly that day. Didn't know. Wasn't the knot you have pictured but worked non the less. Note taken on front lines vs rear lines.
