Cruising Lake Winnebago
Slapped together a quick vid from this past week. No frills cruising around Lake Winnebago. A very cloudy overcast day. Doesn't give much contrast
for the Gopro.

Definitely looked incredibly enjoyable. Nothing but yourself, a crisp cold breeze, and a wide open space to enjoy. I'm jealous

Yes, we are very spoiled this time of year. Ice is thick enough to literally park on the lake and ride. No hauling gear by foot. Lake Winnebago is
(215 sq mi; 557 km2) in size. You tend to feel very small when your out in the middle of it all. You could spend all day out there and never cross
your tracks twice.

When you can park at launch and use your vehicle as a stop to hold kite for launch/landing.....:smug:
I drove onto ice in northern Vermont once(Kite Storm event). Decadent. When you stake kite for break you can go warm up in running car next to you. I
did it in low wind chill conditions once.
Conditions look good for 'comfortable' fast cruise kite skiing...and ....unlike crappy ice surface I was on last weekend.
So, instead....Got out nearby for hour and Street kited on Rollerblades instead.... in CLOSED one mile long parking lot along beach. Was using a 9m
line length 3.5 NPW winds in mid teens, gusts to 20+.
I really want some good ice or good snow(on ice) more than any surface. Only 5 days on this stuff so far this warm winter.
