Absolutely LOVE it! That will be a killer ride. This brings back really good, strong memories. About 25 years ago I took two bikes (one road, one
mountain) stripped them down to their bare steel frames, had them powder coated as a matching set (a mixture of gold and black) and then built them
back up with new parts. That was a super fun project. I'm sure you are having a great time doing this!
Thanks guys. I coated her today. It's killer.
Have to get my new decals and put her back
together. Yes Ted, the Black Widow V3 will be at JIBE!
Can't wait.

Back together. No NAPKA numbers or decals yet. I dyed the two red stripes in the seat black as well. She's spooky dark now. Depending on how the light
hits it, it's either a metallic black cherry color, or a candy apple red color. The color turned out just like I had planned by the mixing. I shot
some samples last week, but until it's all together and blinging in the sun, it's a little guesswork. I like it.
She wasn't a bad looking ride before.

Missed that one. I'm afraid the back in the day I was thinking of goes about 15 years (5000 days?) or more before that back in the day.. Guess I'm
dating myself..
she's a beauty. That color reminds me of Prowler Purple. Chrysler put on their Plymouth Prowler. In the early 2000's. Very sexy color. It inspiring me
to give the old Croozer a make over.
Jason, that looks sick! You will love powdercoating on your bug. My yellow was done at a local bike shop and I am really happy with it. The only place
that has really scratched or worn down is where I put my feet because I don't have anything covering the footpegs. Everything else still looks like
new. I wish I had access like you to that sweet cherry flake though. I would love to have some flake in my yellow.

Errol my first thought was; try drinking a lot more unfiltered beer
The paint job and buggy looks really nice Jason - it'll be a tough month and a half waiting to get it out on Jekyll. You should be able to get a
really nice sunset shot of it on the beach
Errol's comments reminded me of a little side story on paint - last summer there were a few old cars parked the street beside the local friday market
by the local car club guys. There was a Hudson (can't recall the model) with gold flake paint. there owner is well known character that had owned a
Flea market junk store that was more of a museum of all kinds of interesting things. He's probably into his late 80's in age but was telling me that
many years back he was at an outdoor auction sale when it started to rain and many left and he was buying all kinds of things cheap and filling his
truck. He unpacked the truck a week or two later and eventually looked over a treadle sewing machine and found a couple of small gold bars in a
drawer. When he was painting the car, he ground up the gold bars to mix with the paint and that was actual gold on the car - it really sparkled.

Yes Errol, powder coating is not bomb proof, but very very durable. It's actually a cosmic blue metallic base coat. Followed by translucent lolly pop
red, with a clear top coat finish. Take a look at mine this JIBE. If you like it, I'm sure we can work out a powder coat for your ride. As long as
it's under 10', I can coat it. Color options are endless...
