Speed flying is way crazy, but if I had the skills and equipment, I would do it. Of course same goes for para gliding except in both cases I live in
a very flat state!
I dont know what to think. Got to admire the raw skill it takes. Death is definitely riding tandem, just
have to keep his hands off the risers!
One advantage is the speeds and wing loading is so great the kites are in very little danger of collapse, and just punch
on thru any winds along the way.
Love it, but glad for once Im too old for something!
Speed Flying Mount Blanc...best vid on YT
make sure you get the original one w/ the music
I saw a few that were 10 minutes long that were silent and this one at around 3 min with some really nice piano music so I'm thinking this might be
the one you are referring to:
Wow! Breathtaking. I have two words of advice: TIPS UP
About 2/3 through I thought they were going to land, but no, over the abyss. :o
EDIT - this video (10 minutes long) has music starting at around 5 minutes in:
No crazy loops or barrel rolls, but I like this one because it actually makes it look approachable without becoming an automatic donor to your
insurance agent's children's college fund.
I also find it strange that there is nothing in this video like skis or skates that acts as a transition layer between the pilot and the ground. If
he can't maintain lift and is going 30+mph it would be interesting (or messy) to see what the bailout plan is.
P.S. I don't believe they are just modded wings, they seem to fall into two categories of wings for speed flying. If you go to manufacturers like Ozone they have distinct pages for speed flying wing models

Yep the wings are factory just been reading over at Ozone.
Would have thought companies would have shied away from this sport due to liabilities.
Its a good thing to have a well designed/made rig for this, glad there are factory builds.
Spent some time reading at Ozone about the Mojo V. Bad idea! Greatly tempted!
Have an old paraglider in the closet that is out of date but ok for training/short hops. Probably should
leave it there for sure! Never was very smart!
Heres another thing I have often thought about. This guy has a series of vids of him working out this method. This one is a vid of flying I guess to
the edges of the window close to the ground.
I had in the past a large pasture that I wanted to try this with a paraglider(hence the one in the closet). Just get a bit of altltude and kind of
hang there.
Can yo find the video of the 2 guys that go under a ( I think Golden Gate ) Bridge and only one makes it. It was so horrid I think it may have been
removed.

I saw the documentary of this accident. Sad as Dwain was back and forth about flying under or over right up until the moment they jumped out of the
plane. Tragically he choose under.

That has got to be some of the cleanest wind ever. Slope winds of that speed make a speed wing look down right docile(not). What talent. Just throwing
up the kite on the edge of the
cliff would scare the crap out of me!
Looks more like brakes than scudding(lol), either was it cool!
