Anybody else FedExing their buggy?
I am FedExing my buggy to Buffalo Bills this year. Last year it took me several hours and half a dozen phone calls to find it. Eventually I found it
in their receiving department, when I hunted around myself after the manager told me they hadn't received it. FedEx is cheap and reliable, but I
would like the pickup to be a little smoother.
Does anyone know of a reliable way of delivering it to the hotel? I was thinking on getting a name of someone in their receiving department, but if
someone else has a better plan then I would like to use that.
Thanks,
Steve

I had shipped my Libre buggy thru FedEx service to Buffalo Bills back in 2003 which arrived at receiving department two days before I arrived to
ensure of it. The box was torn up with a big hole... good thing there were no buggy parts lost or damaged:o I'm suggesting to tie up all the buggy
parts together then put them into the box and all the bolts/nuts hardware to be carried by you. The hotel can hold it for you but are not responsible
for it if stolen or whatever. For peace of mind, ship it to the FedEx Kinkos store near Vegas airport which is called - "hold at location service" so
you can pick it up on the way down. Hold location is free charge and they watch it for you.
I don't FedEx anymore and use SKB deluxe golf travel case (model 4814W) to fly with wheels which fit my Libre full race buggy up to 135cm rear axle
max. While three wheels/kites/accessories in the duffle bag to check in plus carry on bag for clothes only. SKB is a very sturdy case plus lifetime
warranty. It's expensive but will be even $$ after two times FedEx shipping with torn boxes. Remember airlines accepts up to 70 lbs on golf club case
while 50 lbs max. on other check in baggages. (20 lbs advantage )

Quote: | For 3 years, I have been pre-shipping my buggy and related supplies to Buffalo Bill's (Receiving Dept). It has always arrived promptly and there
waiting for me. Never any damage. Also, I have it picked up there for it's return home. They open at 5:00 AM, very convenient. Definitely more costly,
but very convenient. One can E-mail me for more specifics (rickgi@comcast.net).

As it turns out FedEx will not allow Hold at Destination service with Ground service. I will be shipping to the hotel.
