here's some photos of items I screwed together, a side board that swaps back and forth and slides fore and aft to adjust centering, so the kayak could
be forced across the wind. and a tube on kite, so the kite wouldn't sea anchor every time I dropped it.
the side board is child's snow board
the tube is from the bladder inside collapsible" wonder hose"
I plug one end and zip ty it. other end gets a valve from bike tire(I cut it in half to lose weight)inflate then get correct length. loop rubber bands
on bridle I use 5+ 2 from the trailing edge, thread through loop one at a time.
also I made drainage along trailing edge, also the shoulder of the end cell that's closed. I add a closed cell foam ball to the laundry loop.
the kite fly's better in some ways.
tis much less prone to collapse.
it can be handled and flipped because it has structure.
its way slower through the window. that's kinda good thing as that kite is hyper to begin with.
the control bar is a fishing rod butt with a medium penn saltwater reel I used the ceramic guides from the ruind rod to rote lines through the broom
handle bar. its held on with a golfball with a friction fit. this rig is handy because I can land and launch the kite from the kayak. the lines are
