Venom 13m

Ive got a question for those that are flying a Venom 13m, what bar do you like using? Im not particularly fond of what mine came with and was curious as to what others are using. My gripe isnt with the bar itself but with its depower setup, not a fan of the single line with the clam cleat, lol.

You will get more depow range out of the clam cleat set up depending on how much trim/throw it has. Venoms like long throw bars and IMO work better than the stock bar/trim set ups.

If you want to convert to a strap trim, I have some left over stock of PL trim straps.

Arcs will run on any bar with an front line safety. (they can even be rear line safety but it kinda sux.) As long as the flag out stopper is equal or greater than the wing span, you should be good to go.

Totally agree with Feyd, the more throw the better on my 10, 13 and 13V2 Venoms. I use an Ozone race bar with cleat.

Wish i could remember what bar it came with, dont feel like pulling it out after the day i had at work, lol. I can say that my Outlaw has more throw in bar than what the setup on the Venom does, not by a whole lot, but its noticable.

I like the clam cleat as it's so easy to trim. Even on short upwind runs along the beach its easy to trim out. Even with very little pull on the kite when turning the buggy. They have an enormous trim range which is fantastic when sining a kite hard to get upwind with my R1 race kites. The Ozone R1 is very light on control bar pressure so a delicate trim goes really well.
I have Flysurfer bars on my "Sonics" and their trim straps suck trying to get them let off and also when not fully powered up in light winds.
Only hassle with a racing cleat is the extra trim cord that you throw around you front lines when fully trimmed in to keep it out of the way. It's well worth it though.
