Spider Crab
Hey guys,
Been a while since i posted on here but Ive made some progress and have a video to show for it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWvAtKWBf54
Nothing super exciting yet but hey its a start.
And because I know people will ask... at 2:53 Alex is flying a 2m trainer... it was blowing so hard we were afraid to put up the 6m Access.
Really my next question is whats next? I need to get the thing painted and do some work on it but then its going to be go time again sometime around
October. As much as Id like to do something more local to the bay area Id also like to do another trip. Are there any good places to buggy maybe in
SoCal in the winte

Great contribution to PKF! Your video really depicts what Ivanpah can bring in a day or a week. I've had some success tracking weather and wind
there using this link:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?w0=t&w1=td&...
A group of us were there just before Thanksgiving a couple of months ago and got skunked but other weeks have had spectacular steady winds so it is
sort of a crap shoot. There is a large group of us going there in the beginning of April for IBX:

It would be outstanding if you were able to come out then.
You described the sand storm as a "white out". Last year at IBX we had a day of super high winds (50+ mph) that I called "brown out" conditions. So
named because if you were out on the playa when it was in full effect you not only couldn't see anything because of the sand but you browned your
pants at the same time.
The crab buggy looks awesome. I'd love to meet you and see it!

RedSky - if you are attempting to post via an Apple device such as an iPhone or iPad then the problem could be your use of "special characters".
These include the apostrophe in a word like "can't". Yes, frustrating.

Thanks! Nah, I don't own a smart phone, I'm just using my home computer, but lets see if this works without the special characters.
