Collin one of my fellow kite brothers was kind enough to loan me a kite. (Thank you Collin) It's an old Ozone Razor 8.5m I was finally able to get out
in the buggy and play with it. After a Month of freezing my tootsie rolls off on a ship in Alaska. This is a fairly old kite so i'm not going to write
up a review. I simply had a fantastic time flying it in low winds and wanted to share a small video clip from yesterdays escapades. BIG kites in low
wind has to be a personal favorite of mine. So please watch and enjoy.
The simple pleasures of low wind cruising. A chance to enjoy and appreciate what a technical wing can achieve.
Takes me back to my early days of buggying at Purley Way during the late 90s.
If memory serves, the Razor had a relatively low AR for a race kite but the vents at the front did not extend to the wing tips. In fact I think they
tapered to a razor like edge about 3/4 way along. This together with some clever internals made the Razor a highly efficient wing.
I owned the 8.5m and 5.5m. I remember some hairy moments with the Razor trying to scrub off speed on dry grass.
