Show your Buggy rack ....
Looking and Gix post got me thinking about how hard it was to get my buggy rack made.
So in this post I will share my creation and encourage all of you to do same .
I bet that will help a lot for new buggy owners looking for transportation solutions ....
So here it goes
I transported my MG buggy on modified hitch mounted 4 bike rack that is rated at 140 lbs of load . It worked well for many years and it was also
awesome that it glided away so I could use my tailgate . For longer trips I probably would remove front fork .
For smaller buggy that was super light I used simple 2 bike strap mount on my Audi .... no issues for many many miles ..
Now for a pickup truck I got DiamondBack cover that is rated up to 1400lbs and plan to mount special clamps to hold my buggy . I could not find any
other cover with solid surface that could hold the weight . Its very expensive option but its totally worth it if you using it on newer trucks .
Any questions ? Shoot ...

Kuber - great info,
I'm thinking about options to carry more gear. Soon.
I've seen many approaches in Oregon.
Just some of those are:
a) Top of the pickup bed/over the tonneau (Sean, Colin ..)
b) Trailer hitch upright (Jon, John ...)
c) Inside the van (Jimmy, Eli, Chris ...)
d) Inside the pickup bed (Patrick, me ...)
e) In a trailer (Ryan, John, Mike ....)
f) Cartop (Eric with custom slider system!)
g) Top of the camper (Morrie)
h) In Mega Big RV storage bays , , , , ,
Wife, dog and I are headed south to IBX, Red Lake
and more next month and I'm looking at carry options.
We'll be pulling a small travel trailer with a Tacoma
and bringing bikes, buggies and blokarts.
Does any one have experience with racks
that fit between a tow vehicle and a trailer?
Pics always appreciated!!
Always on the steep part of the learning curve.

An upright hitch mount on the back of the trailer? I have been contemplating this option on my trailer. If your rear trailer bumper does not have a
receiver. You can buy ones that attach via U-bolts. Just some thought I have had about how to do this myself.

Here are the two racks that I had on my past two cars. The red Subaru had horizontal bars that I adapted to. When you loaded the buggy you had to
lean way in to get the buggy onto the rear angle irons and the center channel. This car was thrashed and I did not notice that I was denting the
roof.
Then we got the newer grey Subaru. It had a simular rack adapted to a old square bar Thule system. Again, reaching in I put many small dents in the
roof of my new car. Then I got the idea to make a sliding upper section. This allows me to not need too lean in so far. My only concern is that I
would not want to load a full sized, big foot buggy up there. Lifting and positioning that much weight could be difficult.

This rack is a copy of Van's buggy rack. I find it very easy to use whether it is being used with the flexi or the mg supra.
