Things are going to be different this year!
I won't have to cross state lines or drive for 18 hours to get there this year! I test fitted the buggy to the hitch I just installed on my Impreza,
and it works a treat!
Here is the test fit:

I also have an impreza and it is the full width of the car. I need to measure the height. It's a much quicker load load than going onto the roof
with my flexifoil.

I designed mine and then went to a local welder. It took way too long and then the guy wigg'd out on me. I think I paid him $200.
Van would not make one that was for a 1.25" hitch.
I once made one out of wood. It was like a cross or a T. The wheels sat on the ends of the T and the front wheel on the bottom. I then mounted it
on the roof rack. Never really used it because I sold that small buggy.
I should take some pics, eh?

My rack is meant as a bike rack I think. It was just some trailer attachment that Anna's dad had lying around one of his barns. He said I could try it
out and it turned out to be a perfect fit if I lash the front wheel on top of it and the rear axle lashed to the bottom to keep it from flopping
around.

The two-horizontal-prong style bike racks are very effective for carrying buggies. I contemplated a custom buggy rack for my new car, but in the end I
ordered another bike rack. For price and convenience they are hard to beat.
I'm getting one of these in the mail this week: https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Swagman/S63360.html

That has a 70 LB limit. I could carry the back half of my buggy. Something to consider

On my CR-V I used a yakima bike rack that attached to the rear-mount spare tire. I sleeved some bicycle inner tube over the plastic coated steel
pipe. Otherwise the pipes were bare an featureless--no clamps. I hung the first buggy from the right side tubes. I'd rotate the second one so the
wheels wouldn't interfere with the first. Then I used a single line about 12 feet long to go from the top of one side of the rack, around the backside
of the buggies, down to the vertical, then back up again on the backside to the buggies to the other side of the rack. Finish it off with a truckers
hitch and pull tight. This rig pulls the buggies forward and down on the rack.
I used to try to use the bike tie downs, but I achieved nirvana when the last one fell off. The bare steel pipes make it easier to load the buggies.
Figuring out the rope pattern for your buggies and rack is hard initially, but once you get it right, just leave the rope attached the rack and it's
ready for the next adventure.
The same rig works for loading bikes. Those rubber tie downs are just marketing crap. They can never match rope and knot skills.
I looked for a picture of this, but I have none. I'll post one this week when I test out the new rack. I expect I'll pull the bike tie downs off from
the get-go. Rope rocks!

And there is another buggy too. So there is that. I can be towed pretty easy if it came to that!:duh:
Mougl just got a large buggy so didn't want him to not have enough rack and tear something up.

Buggy Tote Rack
Here's a trailer hitch buggy rack I built a few years ago. The buggy was a Kite Trike. Now it carries my Ivanpah. I did have to add internal structure
and gussets to support the extra buggy weight. Works great. Comes apart. I can still make them up and powder coat them any color if ordered.
