So recently me and my family bought a 7.5m Brooza from bigkid and it is a beautiful kite.

We purchased it as kite only since we have lines and handles. The bridle was very well organized and the kite itself was if great condition, neatly folded in the bag, and very easy to unpack and set up.

Our first flight was at Boundary (Mud) Bay in Delta British Columbia. This beach is a bit wet and muddy, but has beautiful clean wind for miles. Flying the kite was very smooth. The kite was not twitchy and was very easy to predict. When launching the kite is slow to fill with air, which creates a very smooth launch. The wind was probably about 6km/h and once launched the kite had no issues staying in the air. The kite definitely pulled hard across the window. While the buster I am used to flying would pull in the middle then lose power up high and to the sides the Brooza will lift at the top of the window and pull at the sides. The Brooza will also fly out past the edge of the window if you let it. Brake turns are also needed to turn this kite. Once you get the hang of brake turns it responds smoothly and predictable to the turns. I actually found this kite much easier to fly than the 4.4 Soulfly we have and found that in the air the Brooza feels much safer and more predictable. In low wind it had no issues pulling me, although I am only 5'2" and 110 pounds. My younger brothers are about 150 pounds and 215 pounds and both of them also had the kite pull them.

After our smooth wind beach test we decided to take the Brooza to Delview Park, which is swirly wind. This park is notorious for gusts hitting the kite from the back and random gusts and lulls. This park also has no wind down low for the first 10-20 feet depending on wind direction. The wind was bouncing between about 2-3km/h and nearly 10-12km/h and the wind could not decide what direction it was going to blow. The Brooza ate most of the gusts and lulls fairly easily and only really bowtied and folded when hit from behind by a gust in very low wind. This kite behaved very well when it powered up and easily pulled me 20 feet across the park during one of the gusts without me even trying to slide (was trying to stop since it was a very small park). Although it is not a fast kite when it decides to go it is very strong and will pull regardless of if you want to slide or not.

After getting a feel for the kite my little brother and Dad decided to try some jumping at Garry Point Park. The kite had no problems plucking my brother off the ground, although the wind was too light for him to be carried more than 5 or 6 feet. My Dad Pablo also tried jumping the kite and it picked him up 3 or 4 feet.

In all the the entire family is very happy with the Brooza. It is a great and trustworthy low-medium wind kite for me while my family can have a riot with it in medium-high wind. I know that if I can get the kite off of the ground it will pull me and if it wants to get off the ground I am in for a fun time. It is definitely the favourite kite of our quiver at the moment and gets a lot of compliments and awed looks when we fly it at the local parks.

Nice job. The 7.5 was one of my first kites. I have a picture of my grandson flying it at a park in Seattle. Blaine wasn't much older than 8 at the time.
I sill think the Brooza was one kite that they should have kept producing. It's a GREAT buggy engine for all the right reasons.

I can believe it, such a well behaved and stable kite. Nothing it does is surprising or that unpredictable. Just got back from the beach and it parks beautifully at the side of the window. I did hear somewhere that there was a new Brooza prototype in development, if I wasn't a broke college student I would buy the whole quiver in a year or two once they hit shelves. My Mom adored the 2m Brooza, it was one of the only kites she would fly back when we had it. The Brooza is a brilliant kite though, I would recommend them to anyone interested in buying one.
