DIY bar for Nasa Star
I've ordered 4m Nasa Star. I plan to use it for streetkiting. I think I'll make a bar for it myself out of a carbon fiber tube. Born-kite sells a
"streetkite bar" for Nasa star. Can anybody explain how this bar works and how it is connected to the kite? I see that this bar has a line between
2 leader lines. What is the purpose of this line?

Hey apost, The street bar is just any two line bar at all. 50 cm is long enough for the smaller size kites. Connected to the left and right leaders is
the part that's special to Born.
A continuous loop picks off two points for line connections which is where the knot covers are.
A third line connects to the depower or safety line and is adjustable for proportional control of that center line during steering. How much influence
the steering has on the brake or safety line is adjustable to personal preference. and is also where you connect the kite killer.
a shame that the loop and cleat with knot sliders isn't available by itself to save shipping.
maybe it is...you can but ask.

So... I've got just the bar you want and I don't plan on ever using it again. It has the Born-Kite NASA Star street bar bridling you and Ed
discussed. Please feel free to U2U me if you would like to get it.

Thanks for the explanation. I've got a lot of old control bars, ropes, spare parts, etc lying around. So I'd like to make the streetkite bar
myself. I think I now understand better how it works.
