Flexifoil 7M Bullet

Well I guess it’s my duty to do a review as I have read and enjoyed many reviews and found them funny, informative and knowledgeable.

So, I picked the Flexifoil 7M Bullet from my Quiver to start my first review with so here goes.

Well first of all I am at that age where I like the Buggies not saying it’s just for old guys but when you don’t have any knees left you’re options are limited. I run around mostly in my Flexi buggy with my Centuries.

I have a 9M, 6.5M and a 2.5M and a 3M Legend and a 4.8M Cabrhina trainer and of course the Flexifoil Bullet 7M.

Well, the kite came to me RTF with handles and that makes me happy as I enjoy the ultimate control only handles can produce. The handles are the typical Flexi handle, I always thought they could put more into their handle as I really prefer my Ozone handles as they are much more comfortable and seem to have a little nicer angle. The lines are clean and smooth and color coded as well as the bridle making tangles easier to remove. The kite killers are a little bulky but comfortable to wear and big enough to go over the coat.

The pack sack was of good quality with the nice side pocket for the handles with a good cinch strap to hold the bar in place.

I hear a lot of people say it seems really big to them on the floor but as I have flown all kinds of kites so no surprises but very pretty.

The material is nice the quality you would expect from Flexi, nicely stitched but no clean outs. The shape everyone who see’s it say it looks like a Flying Green Taco which is hard to deny but when you get a chance to fly it you soon forget the shape and begin to see the beauty and power that is the Bullet.

It was a nice winter day very clean 8 mp/h winds from the NW, a little cold but could conditions to check out the new buggy engine.

Stacked out the handles and walked out the line and began to set up the kite, the nice little holders on the trailing edge help keep the bridle neat and color coding is nicely done and hook up should be easy but always read the manual first..Please.
I slide the kite back slowly tightening the brake lines and as the wind starts to fill the kite sits quietly waiting to be given the command to fly.
I do enjoy watching a kite fill with air, too me it’s like its beginning to come to life and breath. It is at this point you start to see the potential that this kite has and the respect she demands.

Pick up the handle and the kite tightens up and stand quietly which is a nice sign, lines taught, slight tug and up she goes. Climbs to the top of the window and stops. All good so far, tighten the brake lines and down she comes gently to the ground with very little pressure.
I launch her again and run the kite through some tight figure eight turns with a little sloughing on the hard turns doesn’t seem to like it too close to the edge of the window.
I must say the kite has a very nice even pull would make a great buggy engine in low wind conditions but the difference flying her powered makes the buggy rock.
I had heard it was a low wind engine and it will produce at the lower end of things 8 to 10 mph, but set her up in 15+ winds and it is a different beast.
The turning issues all but disappeared; the kite pulls hard and never sluffed on hard turns and I didn’t need to work the kite to hold my speed. I had no problem finding the pocket and letting the kite do the work and enjoyed some nice long runs in comfort.

Over all I would say well built, have no problem with the pack sack but many say its small but I have no problems getting the kite in the sack.
The question I always use to judge something, would I buy another one?
Answer = Yes
