supermannnnnnnn

hey
don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't be supermanned by a flexifoil sting 1.2. in our "bomb cyclone" conditions of 30 mph wind with 55mph gusts here in SE michigan, i got lofted twice in about 30 seconds. first was a nice easy forward shoulder roll. as soon as i THOUGHT i had recovered, i got launched again and banged down hard on my left knee/thigh. it is now swollen to over twice its' normal size. i could still walk, so i kept flying. plus, i was scared to look at it.
i learned a very important lesson - when the trees behind you start making as much noise as a freight train, PUT YOUR KITE DOWN.
gotta find that pair of crutches that i stored somewhere...

OUCH!!! I never understood why people told me that you will get spanked much more easily on a small kite than a larger one until I had a day like yours. Heal well, and heal fast!

Never never go out in those conditions again without a camera. Hope you're ok.

"Never never go out in those conditions again without a camera."
definitely a knee slapper reply there. think i'll use my right knee for that, though.
a plus - the knee keeps me from thinking about the toothache that i've had for a few days.
