how do i clean my kite
The other day i was down at my local beach and i got my kite wet. After numerous attempts to get it back in the air the wind died so i bundled it up
and took it home where i hosed the kite with fresh water. Was it the right thing to do?
any comments welcomed

Yeah kites love a good freshwater wash, so long as you dry it out properly it'll be all nice and crispy again.
I used to just hose down my kites and hang them on the washing line, as long as you don't scrub them at all they seem to like it :singing:

be sure your kite, bar, lines are totally dry before wrapping them up.... fresh water is more prone to mold than salty water when stored damp or wet.
use a small fan that can inflate the kite and get the inside dry as well....
also, numerous people (myself included) have use Gore-tex jacket or Tent wash to clean their kites. NO SCRUBBING as Domindo explained.
ive also used a laundry bag. remove the flying lines, daisy-chain the bridles all together , stuff it in a laundry bag and put it on a gentle cycle to
rinse and agitate using a Tech-Fabric wash. turned an old 2001 flysurfer Mastair 12m into a like new and crispy clean kite !!!
