Stock PL Bigfoot buggy.. higher center of gravity along with low profile side rails tend to be a bit tipsy for new riders...
but can be ridden as hard as a comp or XR flip side with hard riding is front fork welds will give out after a season or
two and really hard riding like bouncing over dunes will take it toll on the front axle bolt as well stock seat and keep an eye on the side rail welds
were it connects to down tube .....
Performance... it's no speed racer but there is some things{tricks} I can only do on my big foot that I can't do with my other buggys... + they
float in H2o
I really love the ones I have + keeps me riding year long on the west coast... then I put the big foot away during the low tides and switch to the
more nimble buggys

That sounds good. I have seen in some photos and videos that people have some type of back rest, as in a bar type thing. Does anyone know if this is
something homemade or do they make them for the bigfoot buggy.

One thing I have heard people use is a stadium type of folding seat - the kind of one with two cusions hinged together with the little diagonal brace
strap and a stiffener in the back rest. You can get them cheap at White Trash Mart. It's a great idea I keep forgetting to try.
I was out with my little PL bug yesterday with a low tide and wind right off the water. Eight mile trip down and back. Yeah, baby! But I really
felt it in the back and abs. (same seat as the Big Foot.)

Hey Angus,
I will try the folding seat idea,, that sounds good and cheap. It may help alittle with my reach also,, I am only about 5'6" and my feet do make good
contact with the foot pegs but it would be alittle more comfortable if my feet were slightly closer,, maybe the folding seat will take care of two
things at once. So you had an eight mile trip up and back,, that sounds really cool.. What type of speeds do you think you were reaching? Joe.

Winds were advertised to be 15-18 mph but on our beach they measured out to 7-10 mph, so it was a lazy cruising day with my 4.9's: both a PL Reactor
and a Blade.
I have bike speedometers on both my bugs. Basic little Cat-eye digital jobs frm the bike shop for about $20 each. So I was topping out at 23 mph but
averaging around 18. It was comfortable considering the number of people on the beach.
With the new moon and the resulting low tide, the beach was huge and the wind was smack 90 degrees to the beach. So with a great summer day like
that, I'll take any wind I get. I'm looking at getting a Reactor 8.3m for these light days.

That sounds cool... I am looking forward to the time when I can say I was doing 18 to 23mph.
