rev supersonic

still holding out hope for angus's power blast, but in the meantime... does anyone have a supersonic collecting dust that they'd care to part with?

I have a Shockwave that I could be coerced into letting go. A little bigger than the Supersonic (couple inches each way) and more pull.
It's not in my nature to sell off kites, but if you have trouble finding what you want send me a message.

shockwave vs. blast

have you flown a blast? if so, how do they compare?
this question is also open to anyone else that has experience with both.

My 2 cents you did not ask for...

The REV are great. Because the 1.5 is exactly the same for all built, they are predictable and fly well.

I have owned 6 blasts, a SuperSonic, a shock wave, a REV 1 and a REV 2. All these are of no lasting value to a REV flier.

They do not fly like the 1.5 and no matter how good you are with the 1.5, the others are all deworsified REVs. They strayed from the original formula in an effort to make money (this is ok) and give people an option (also ok).

Sorta like Barassi selling weights for the bottom of the REVs. He is one 3 people in the world that probably enjoy the added challenge of a complete change of the flying characteristics of the REV.

But again...the fun of the REVs is how predictable they are day after day after day.

Don't get me wrong...these alternates are interesting every few yrs but I really doubt anyone chooses anything but the 1.5 as their go-to REV.

(Sorta like the 1 candy bar in a desert island...always snickers).

You opinion will definitely vary from mine!

appreciated, mr. jeepers

hey
anything i ever put out here, or have put out here, greatly welcomes insight and input from anyone else. your opinions will likely guide others in the future when they're looking to buy "the next thing."
i have a blast, which i like to put up every now and again, just to mix things up a bit. but if i smashed it into something, i wouldn't replace it.
my little brother was intrigued by the supersonic, so i got it for him. the blast was too much for his weakening physical condition but he liked the speed aspect. unfortunately, he never got to put up the supersonic and some day i'll go fetch it from his house.
i have not gotten to the point where i would consider myself even a mediocre rev flyer, so the UN-predictability of the various wings is actually an asset for me and lets my little brain try to fit the pieces of the big puzzle together.
i won't be buying the flying eagle kite, though...
i have searched hither and yon for "deworsified" to no avail. i will spark a movement to make sure that it gets the "word of the year" status that it deserves and makes it into all of the dictionaries, where it truly belongs.
really, thanks for chiming in, and have a great day.
for what it's worth, this is national brotherhood/sisterhood week. the people of this forum exemplify that.
