Alvord is calling.
Not too wet.
Not too hot.
A few of us will be there starting tomorrow.
Can't let the mini-skeeters have all the fun.

My bad.
No video.
But I can provide a snippet of fun in .gpx format that could be made into a video tour for
someone more techno-savy than I am.
Playa surface is great.
We had 2 days of gusty shifty winds 3 to 35mph. Gust factor 10!!
Buggy and Blokart sessions averaged in the 20s, max mid 40s.
Kites 4m Access, 5 m Frenzy, 6m Peak and others. Blokart 3m (mostly half powered).
Third day mostly calm until evening when those sweet smooth buttery North winds blew.(long sigh).
Temps ranged from 40 to 80 F.
Scenery spectacular.
We only used 2% of the playa cuz Dieter told me never go farther than you are willing to walk.
So big.
Always on the steep part of the learning curve.

Sweetness Rick! Glad you folks had a great time. I'm hoping to make Fall SOBB this year and sleep in a tent at buggy camp. Thought here is to ease
back into camping (I used to do a lot of wilderness camping as a yute), building up to Alvord after this far more gentile form of roughing it.
