IBX 2020 dates
NALSA is now registering racers for the week of March 21-28, 2020
IBX has followed, keeping/sharing the event tent and potties
NABSA Blokarts are discussing their date now.
Best if these 3 events were on 3 separate weeks.
I suggest IBX go for March 28- April 4 (week after NALSA}
and
suggested NABSA go for the week of April 4-11.
Avoid space issues.
Always on the steep part of the learning curve.
Gin Shaman2 6m, 12m
Flysurfer Peak1 6m, Peak2 9m,Peak4, 3m
Misc. other kites, never getting out of their bags.
Riding a Libre Fullrace with an AQR on the beach
Riding a Blokart inland when gust factor > 4
And a couple Manta Singles for friends to ride.

Memory serves that the dates you described were what (I believe) Morrie was talking about on the Thursday night Ho-down. Agreed that this would be a
great week for IBX in 2020. Further agree that all things being equal that not competing with the blokart guys would be optimal. We tack in different
directions and just end up pissing each other off. Why they need to set up right next to us always puzzled me since they aren't using the tent. Just a
few hundred yards up or down the playa would make a huge difference to our interference.
So Rick, in you posting this here, do you or any of us have any pull?

Sorry I missed this before. The dates of the official event are Monday March 30 thru Thursday April 3. IBX is swept up in the same server/website
issues that NAPKA is involved in. We are hopeful we can work it out but it's a contingency that we have registration on site. We have had our permit
worked out as of August and the tent and porta potties are rented. All we need is your kite in the sky!

Bob,
Sorry to learn about the server issues. Frustrating! In the event our website doesn't go live before the event, how are we handling pre-ordered shwag
such as tshirts and sweatshirts and the like?

Out of necessity we would likely have to mail shirts after the fact. It's possible that our web guy can get things sorted and registration can go as
normal. Fingers crossed.

Great news! Registration is now enabled on the website. I've gone through the registration process and it all went through smoothly. Who's gonna be
there?

Hi Steve
Like you, I've changed over to a Blokart. For me, this was due to a bit of a buggy accident in 2018. My ankle and spine are not up to power kite
flying!
Hope you have a great time at Ivanpah. Raise a glass for me!
Great memories

Yippie!
I will be there. Arriving March 27th at the latest. Hopefully a few days earlier.
My brother, Pete, who is Colin W.'s huggable size, arrives at midnight (yea...thanks!) on Saturday, March 28th.
My wife (Kari) arrives on Tuesday, March 31st at 9:30pm.
We all leave on Saturday, April 4th. Dropping the brother off in Vegas for a 12:01am flight (yea...thanks again, brother) and then we drive home.
Looking forward to show my brother why all the pics of me on the playa show my 2 ft wide smile! I bet he gets hooked!
