buggy pants?

hey
don't know what you guys wear, but i was looking for water resistant bike riding pants for a pal and came across these. the few reviews that i found said that the inseam was too short for riding, and that they need a strap or something to keep them from getting into the chain. a reviewer said that they'd be better for hiking due to the knee area binding up while riding.
none of those issues arise when seated in the buggy, as far as i can tell.
other reviews praised their waterproofness and breathability.
these particular pants are being blown out for 15 bucks. the only size left is xxl and the sizing chart lists that size as 41-46 inches around the waist. i do not find a length listed anywhere.
check 'em out if you're in need of something like this for wind and/or rain.

That has me thinking (not always a good thing.) I recently made a windsurf sail bag out of some camo-tarp material. I have plenty of it. Never made any clothing, but a pair of pants to slip over my regular ones for riding in wet or somewhat muddy conditions might not be too hard.
