Born-Kite RaceStar 5.0 & 7.0m - SOLD

Here's your chance to own a piece of history! Hard to come by Born-Kite RaceStar kites in 5.0 & 7.0m. These single skin chargers have a 6:1 AR and have superb upwind capability and grunt-like power for their size. In good used condition with no known tears or problems. Playa dust comes free of charge.

Both kites come with a yellow 5th central line FAS system that is Born's equivalent of Ozone's venerable Re-Ride system that draws the kite up like an accordion when deployed. This FAS system is effective as a safety system when you pop the chicken loop or as a means to crumple the kite in the air for easy solo landings.

Both kites can be flown on 5 line or 4.5 line DP bar and line setups. If you want to run standard 4.5 line and flag out the kites then you can just leave the 5th line FAS system up in the kite or easily remove it.

You can see these kites here:

New these kites cost 589 and 689 Euros for the 5.0 and 7.0m, respectively. Today's exchange rate is 1 EU = 1.18 USD. I'll sell them at 50% new value plus free shipping in the Lower 48.

Something new on the way you have to make room for?

BTW your picture link doesn't seem to work.

From his signature it looks like they overlap with is 5m and 7m racestar+.

Very tempting. I really like my 3m longstar these but where I live now all the fields are tall grass which is no good for kiting. Maybe I should get these and a face shield to to stop the grass from hitting my face....:D

Thanks Randy! I was trying something new with Google Pics that seems to still need work from my end. Now listed with Photobucket pics that hopefully you can see.

Snake - yes, I got two new kites yesterday, the "+" version of these kites. I have the 9.0, 11.0, and 14.0m RS+ on order too but they aren't here yet (thanks COVID-19!).

These standard RaceStars are great kites, complete with Born's new and improved bridle lines and a kite structure similar to LongStars just with the more aggressive 6:1 AR geometry.

Born-Kites:
RaceStar+ (3.0m, 5.0m, 7.0m, 9.0m)
NasaStar-5 (2.5m, 4.0m)
NasaStar-4 (2.5m)
NasaStar-3 (3.2m)

Ozone kites:
Access (6.0m)

Flysurfer Kites:
Peak-5 (2.5m)

Mr Steve,

Red and Yellow kites are the best.
If I save anything buying both let me know by mail.
Otherwise, just confirm so I can make a transfer.

Thanks,
EMC
