Up for sale are 3 Elf Joker 4's (8m,11m,14m), 2 bags, and an Elf racing bar. It's pretty difficult to find information on these online so I will
summarize what I know about them, mostly learned from reading old Russian forum posts when I got them. The early Elf kites (pre joker 5) released one
size at a time, with each new size improving on the last. They also made small improvements to each size while they were produced and each size was a
different design. The first joker 4 size was the 11m and it was a race kite about on par with other race kites of the day, a bit higher performance
than a speed 3. Later they came out with the joker 4 16m, and it quickly began dominating racing events. This was the kite that put elf on the map.
Soon after they released the 8m and it wasn't as big of a hit, probably due to it being so small and the low (for a race kite) AR. They then released
the 14m, which was a high AR low wind beast like the 16m. After that, Elf had grown enough that all the the kites became standardized and the joker 5
onwards they were all the same.
What do I think of them? They are great in the buggy. Faster than my chargers or f-arcs, more depower than either, and aren't constantly trying to
kill me like the other 2. The 14m can get me going in the lightest breeze it can keep itself in the air. If it launches, you will roll. The 11m goes
almost as low if you work it, and has way more top end. The 8m is a hoot in a bit more wind with how fast it turns and flies. My buggy speed record is
on this kite.
Sadly I can't fly kites where I live now and I want to fund a new hobby (aerobatic paragliding) so I am thinning the quiver.
Price dropped to $1250. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Starting with the 8m, the first picture is of the bottom surface and it is in great condition. White fabric is still very crisp and feels almost new,
the black must be some weird fabric become it is crispier than any ripstop I have ever felt. Second pic is the top surface, again in great condition.
Third pic is of the Leonor Greyl logo, which I believe is a perfume brand. Whoever used to own these must have been sponsored because it is on all of
them. I didn't snap a pick of it, but the mixer is in good shape, with some discoloration where the brass wheel of the pulley rides.
On to the 11m. The fourth pic is the bottom surface, again great shape with the black being crunchier than a sunchips bag. Fifth pic is the top
surface with the perfume logo, also good shape. Pic six shows some minor bends in the plastic leading edge reinforcements. All the kites have this to
some degree from how they were packed before they were sent to me. Once the kite inflates it pushes it right back out. None of them are sharp bends or
kinks. I have been very careful since I got it to loosely pack them to help them not become bent further. The are folded up now for shipping in a
"messy concertina", which protects the leading edge while putting minimal foldsninto the rest of the fabric. Picture seven shows a small gray stain on
the fabric, not sure what it is from, and there is about 3-4 of these per kite in random spots. Picture eight is a professional looking repair that I
didn't even know was there until I looked them over today.
Finally the 14m. Picture nine and ten show two small lines that were snapped when I had a friend help me land. Not sure what happened exactly. A new
line could be made easily yourself by measuring the other side and tieing in some new line. Or paraglider repair shops can make custom line lengths
for about $20 a line. Picture eleven again showing off that perfume logo and the skinny AR. Pic twelve shows some of the worst deformed rods in the
leading edge.
Onto to bar, which is the rest of the pics. Lines are in great shape, I would guess they are about 23-25m long. The bar has a huge trimmer range and
uses a clam cleat to for adjustment. A bit of fraying on one of the dyneema lines in the trimmer, but it is so thick I wouldn't be too worried about
it. The foam is also starting to fall off the bar around the hole in the middle. Not the prettiest but still very functional. The final pics shows the
bar, 2 bags, and a box I put the 14m in.
