snowfeet fest

well, the viron2 6m test was mostly a bust a couple of days ago. the alleged 20-30mph wind was nowhere near that in my tiny field. rolled it up and walked the 1/2 mile to the high school field and did a little better without trees and houses blocking the wind. mostly sat around waiting for the blows but did get in a few runs.
yesterday showed 11-21 wind. after reading through the excellent peak thread and seeing that the 6m "loves 10-20" i decided to give that a try. went straight to the high school. it was great!
finally got some decent upwind action on the snowfeet and was cruising back and forth quite a bit. there was only a couple of inches of snow and i stopped as the warmup started showing more grass than snow and the wind started slowing down.
the detroit, michigan forecast doesn't show any more snow for the next couple of weeks, which is pretty odd for us. so, it's back to static play for a while, which is ok, too.
i just might try to make some very short snowskate runs on the small patches of snow left, just to give that a whirl, since i haven't ever used it yet.
