hey terry
all is fine with my mother. health wise. but she`s getting bad with her memory. just last night she flooded out my basement washing clothes.
the car is other story. i`m having a hard time with the clutch and pressure plate. i ordered new brake linings. they are a speical type and they got cracked in shipping. but on the bright size i got all the oak flooring done just waiting to go in once i get the clutch problem taken care of. the car as been keeping so busy i can`t even think of nabx yet. i`m hoping to get the car back on its wheels by then. but it don`t look good. haven`t talked to AL in months last i heard he got a horse running around his house.

Stupid Question..... Is there a laundromat @ Primm?
If not, where is the closest one? I was considering bring much less clothing this year to save weight.
More toys....less clothes.

Good question Jason. I have not seen one but that does not mean that they do not have one.

There used to be one in the onsite RV park, but now that that's gone so is the laundry room. Sorry, that's all I got.

Glenn don't feel bad ,my wife didn't reach 50 and she does stuff like that. Moms such a sweet women just understand when you reach that age ,ya gonna poop in your depends when your kite buggying at 83.You might not know your name or where you live but you still know how to kite buggy.I'm like that now but thats cause of the funny stuff we have at the safety meetings;).Make sure you use gloves & mask when sliding the presure plates in .the carbon and compounds are very harmfull if breathing in .I'll try to bring a mask for Ivanpah also. Will you be going stock or some nice light mods that give you alittle more.Carbon drive shaft and universals ect.. are sweet but expencive and ya don't really need unless it a show car and your crawling underneath.Cool, Your rooming with Jason this year,Jason ,Staff knows me now so when were there I'll get one of the girls to do a load for Glenn ,yourself and me with wash. The machine at rv park is gone but they have one that I pay them to do for us .Funny ,one of the girls wanted to hang after work cleaning rooms and try landsailing with me . I'll take her this year.Anyone else that needs wash done can get a hold of me ,I'll work it out with one of the girls that clean the rooms.I need room for toys not clothes ,have to make room for the trip home will all the new junk too.:D Glenn ,do you pack your glass flag poles for under the plane or carry them .Was concerned about them walking on and cracking them.maybe a sail bag with the mast for blokart will save them.:puzzled:Jason,it not a stupid question cause thats the first thing I asked last time .who wants to carry stinky clothes home .Just hope nobody cough's in there underwear before I work it out with the girls.:D You guys have as much fun as I am with gearing up for Ivanpah and hope to see yall soon .:)

hey terry
i don`t bring any banner poles with me. i just borrow a few when i get there. i borrowed a few from dave k one year and both of them snapped from high winds. he didn`t want me to pay for them but i wouldn`t feel right not paying for something i broke. so i did pay him.
with my 30` i want to bring the car back to 1930.
i just spent 300$ on nuts and bolts. when my friend put the body back together he used hex head nuts and bolts. they are not right. the car used square nuts and slotted bolts. there should not be any phillip head screws on the car.
i have this old man coming to look at my clutch problem this weekend. i found a brand new 1930 presssure plate and its still not right. now i have 2 plates and they both don`t work on the car. it might be something i`m over looking.
i got the trans rebuilt( be me) and had it glass beaded. the trans case is as smooth as glass.
speaking of buggying in NJ. there is no place to buggy in new jersey anymore without getting thrown out. the only place is wildwood. to long of a drive for one day buggying.

Hey Jason
One thing we've done before is to pick up a bottle of washing detergent, come off the playa and wash a pair of shorts/t-shirt in the sink and leave it to dry and just keep switching with a second pair - sometimes they dry overnight. Then we leave our wash liquid and cooler and anything we bought for the cleaning staff if they want it.
The online info says they have a laundry service - but not a laundromat

hey terry
you can`t pull the trans out on the 30` on a lift.( they didn`t have lifts in 1930) i tried it. i had half the trans out on a lift and couldn`t get it out with the rear axle tube in the way. i had to get the car towed to my friends garage and put it on jack stands. jack up the rear by the frame to bring down the rear axle and remove the trans and clutch by removing the floor boards and seats and bring the trans out thur the pass side door.
believe it or not the trans is coming out again next winter when i pull the engine to get that rebuilt. i`m still looking for an engine rebuilder. i can`t do it. as it has poured lead bearing on the crank that have to be fitted and grinded down for each engine.
sorry i can`t take any pictures of the car right now cause it looks like a basket case. i got parts everywhere. some in my basement, some in my car, some in my friends garage. some out for blasting, repaint.
it will be good to get away from the car for a week of wind powered fun. but once i get it back to one piece and rolling down the road under its own power i`ll be smilling from ear to ear. i am getting calls to use the car for town parades and the few times i did drive the car before tearing into it i felt like king s#$t with the looks i get. the only broken part i found on the car was a broken brake spring. everything else is just worn or worn out.

hey carved
been there, done that, when we pulled the motor and trans out as a unit to do the body work. when the body was done we just put it back in as a unit.
hey dave
the problem i`m having with the clutch and pressure plate is when i bolt everything to the flywheel i get ALOT of play in the pressure plate fingers. you know the fingers that ingauge the throw out bearing and let the clutch free wheel.
