Going to Canada for a week...

Friend is getting married, his wife is is from Calgary, so we are making a vacation out of this.

is it bad that the first thing on my mind was "I hope the wind is good up there" :)

Because for sure I am bringing the kite

Try to get ahold of Jeff at www.kitesource.ca
He is a great guy that lives in Calgary. Flysurfer specialist.
or Dan AKA Skypilot at www.Skypilot.com. Dan is also a great guy who will know the ins and outs of Calgary all though I think he sticks to snow and water.

I moved from Calgary almost 20 years ago. It's almost always windy there !!! If not wait 5 minutes ( you'll see what I mean.) ! Should be plenty of good spots. Glenmore park, Heritage park and coach hill would be the 1st places I'ld look.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Snowbird is right, it is usually dry & windy (June is our wet month) and there are lots of good spots. Check out http://www.calgarykiteboarding.com Jeff is one of the moderators.

For current wind/weather check out http://www.wx.ca Hope you don't get any snow or hail from a cold front.
