Got a question for you guys that go out to Sam Boyd on Friday nights. I went out there one day last week and wanted to know what area do you guys use. I saw that there was the huge soccer field next to Sam Boyd and then right across from it was the huge dirt field used for a parking lot. I thought that would be a better place to board. Other than the obvious rocks that I could see out there it seemed pretty flat and big, and without those annoying soccer goals spread out all over the place. I went driving around the Sam Boyd stadium and found that there was a nice grass field as well next to the RC airplane flying field. Where do you guys go?

Our Friday night fun fly is located on the grass soccer park field on the south end. We park right between the paved and dirt RC tracks. This is the field located between the stadium and Boulder Highway. The south end where we fly isn't usually filled up with the soccer players and others so we get a pretty good area to use to ourselves. To get to our area you need to turn south at the very entrance to the park near Boulder Highway. There's a road there that runs along the edge of the park. It ends up in a parking lot, go to the top of the parking lot and you'll see us between the two tracks.

If there's wind, look for some kites in the air and you will find us.

I'll probably be heading down to Ivanpah in the late afternoon after work. If you can, you should try to come prime, and heck you too kent. It wouldn't hurt to play hooky from the park. Forecast shows 10-15 all evening
