Put your keys and cell in a safe place!
I went out after work to see if I had gotten any better on grass. A bit underpowered in the switchy winds with my 3.5 Rage, so I grabbed my 6.6 Blade.
Still couldn't really get any speed without resorting to downwind only. Anyway, I got flipped out at an embarrassingly slow speed. I decided to bag it
and dragged all my junk to the van. Then I realized I had lost my keys in that flip. AND my cell phone! I walked the mile home and my wife and
daughter helped me find the phone. The keys are still out there. I'm renting a metal detector after work today and hope to find them before the place
gets mowed! It sure needs it. Just not today, please!

been there and done that
I used to leave my keys and phone stuffed in my jeans pocket, but then in occurred to me with the straps from my seat harness coming across the front
of my legs that I'd have a tough job trying to get to my phone if worst came to worst and I had a bad spill. Decided best thing is to put them in a
bum bag (US='fanny pacS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K- - gotta love that name in the UK :wow: ) - easier to get to and relatively safe.

Yeah, its part of my pre-flight checklist for the same reason. Now it's habit when I put my helmet on to empty my pockets, except for the wallet that
stays in a secure cargo pocket.
I was cruising down the beach one day and saw something in the sand and thought "Wow, looks like someone dropped their Blackberry!". Of course, it
was mine

SCORE! I tried using a water witch yesterday. All that got me was the location of every sprinkler in the field. I had really tried emptying my mind of
everything and concentrating on my keys, having heard you could use one for whatever you wanted. Apparently they're only good for water. I rented a
metal detector and found them after three hours of walking in rows. My forearms are killing me, and I don't have "There I was, thought I was going to
die" story for the pain.
