I had a crack in one of my footpeg sockets re-welded a couple of years back, but just noticed recently that the other footpeg was cracking away from the fork, with at least a 4mm gap opening up. I hadn't noticed before because I had some duct tape over the end of peg to stop it rattling :-)

Took it down to Davis Hitch and Muffler in Davis and they re-welded all my welds for $10 in less than 10 mins. Very sweet - definitely recommend these guys for any welding work.
