Does anybody have a real small kite they would want to sell,,,I am looking for a quad line under 2.0 for really scary winds....occaisionally there are those days when a 2m kite is overpowered.....


I would borrow it but who knows when the next crazy wind day will be....

well thats great.I just picked up the 1.5....any advice besides the bridal..how do they fly? .I have never heard of this company but the kites are on half off so this 1.5 is 50 bucks...thats a deal!

I like mine for those windy days..
I live on the beach so some days are crazy windy..
I use the Profoils.. Very Fast and Lots of Pull..
They love the tight figure 8.. seem to just go faster and faster.

Keep sand out of them since they are so small sand effects the flight.. had mine jerking around till I figured it out..

And double knot the Bridal ends..

The 1m in the right wind even pulls good

I have a pro-foil 1.5m and I bought two pro-foil 1meters for my sons. They are 6 and 8 years old. They like them alot and I find myself flying them on the real windy days. They are diff worth the price, good deal, and they are alot of fun. They move like bugs on speed! And I have found also that they have alot of pull on real windy days.

What lines (length and test) do you recommend using with these kites in stronger winds?

Hey Gulfsandeater, As far as the length and test, I am not sure,,, I am not that new to the sport but : anyway I think the length is about 75 feet and test may be around 100 something brake lines and 200 something power lines,,, I got my lines for the kites from Angus Campbell of Coastelwindsports.com Check with him and he will be able to help you.

The reason I ask is I'd think with it being a smaller kite you could just use lighter test and 20 m lines for light winds. But I was thinking a person might want to use higher test if using this for stronger winds, and maybe 25m lines to slow its turning a little more since it "moves like a bug on speed". Do you guys think the extra 5m would make much difference with a 1.5m kite in strong winds?

I would think that any extra length would make a difference. I think its the 25meters that I have on my small kites and that seems fine. I did have the 1meter out in real (unstable) winds one day and it was pulling like hell. It was alot of fun though. Hey Gulf, how do you get the "kite Bag" info on your posts?

I got my 1.0 and 1.5m profoils yesterday from Ted and am eager to get them in the air this weekend. I'll be in southeastern Idaho next week where they have some pretty strong / gusty winds...this should be fun!

For nuking winds I've been using the 2m Brooza, clocked 45mph in Nevada with it in something like 25mph winds, usually I can hang onto it up to the 35mph range, maybe a bit higher if I'm careful. Plus side, limited air vents, makes for a fast kite and helps keep it from surging when getting hit by a gust of wind, higher winds usually have more severe gusts so it's a handy feature. I've noticed the limited vents thing coming on a wide variety of kites now days, I know that the sammy , brooza and a handful of others are using this method to tame kites down in poor winds.
