Park flyer
Man I am used to flying at schools or parks. This sand, salt thing is something else. My kites would never last in conditions like that. By the time I
got home I had to clean and un-tangle all my kites. It was crazy. Running like a fool all over sand is not the same as soil. Not as young as I use to
be. Not to mention swimming in the ocean the rest of the day with the boys man was I wiped out!:sniff:

not as bad on kites as most people think... for stunt kites lawn darts and tip stabs are more forgiving in the sand some of the most harsh draw backs
on beach flying is left over bonfires:flaming: that smolder inches under the sand and the charcoal from wood that loves white kites.. seaweed that
drys up and loves to hook onto line sets and big fat dead seals ... smell of death:barf:
At the beach I fly on the sand is coarse so most of it will fall away ..not like fine sand that does wonders on kites and finds it's way in every
little area to take up residency....
besides soft for landings and clean winds....................

Ok. I'll take the good with the bad. your right. sand is a bit more forgiving than foxtails or dry grass. Try getting that out of your kite with mesh
covering. Been looking at the Haka. Awsome kite! May be just what I need. Hell, I need all of them. And also I do have to agree with the good:cool2:
flat wind. and beach bunnys. But the soft landing? only if you have a kite big enough or are use to flying in sand. I was in soft sand so scudding was
like trying to bury myself:D I did that pretty well I think. By the amount of sand I had brought home with me!

Soft sand isn't always so soft, launched off a dune doing 20mph in the buggy, realized I wasn't where I though I was and instead of a nice rolling
hill it was like a gulley, flew straight into the bank on the other side and proceeded to stop dead, Thankfully Libra buggies are built nice and
strong.
I'll take a long beach run any day including the kite cleaning if needed over short back and forth runs in a grassy feild.

Yea Slinger, I'm sorry I did not get to stay longer. But I had been down there all morning the kids were all tired the wife was already waiting in the
car. And so on. Man I did not have the money to try any ozones. I know if I had flown a Haka or sami I would of had to buy one. I will be trying to
get back down there the weekend of the 17th. If so I will hold you to that. Thanks.
