What do the pros use? What lines do you use most? How many sets do you have? Are they all standard 25m 40m and so on? Or does someone mix it up? Just curious about prefference and style. Thanks.

2m and smaller 20m lines, 3m-7.5m 25m lines, 9m and the 13m were on 30m lines

All lines were the Climax Combat lines, rated quite high. Not sure how exactly to translate to lbs. I believe somewhere between 300-400lbs for the mains. The kids .7m Buster is on 150lb lines, no brakes and yes I've buggied with it and made it back to my bag.

Don't think I qualify as a pro though.

Line length is about 100'. With 300# QPower mains and between 50-150# brakes (highest quality spetra line I can get). I have about 6 or 7 line sets plus a brand new spool of 1000' of 300# Q-Powerline

I parapack so my lines are always attached to my kites so I have one set per kite.

Jojos are on 300# over 150# and the 2.5 and 7 are on 30m lines and the 5.5 is on 25m lines (these are self made spectra sets from Laser Pro line)

Blade is on Flexi lines and I believe those are 500# over 220# and the bego is on flexi Xtreme lines which I believe is 550# over 440# and both those sets are 25m. The begos brake lines are way overkill and someday I may swap those out but it flies well with them so I've left them as is.

I use 100 ft. lines on everything. 300 power and 80 lbs. brake lines. I have never had a problem.

I tried to use 82' lines on my Beamer III 3.0 and it made it very sluggish. I put the stock 65' lines on it and it brought it back to life. I guess the extra line bogged it down. If I made it spin in place with a brake, I had to relearn how long to hold it to spin once because it spun so much faster. At first I was overspinning a half to 3/4 turn. Both sets of lines were the same weight of 485/220. The 82' lines did work well on the Pansh however, it gave it more room in the sky without bogging it down. (It's not real fast across the sky anyway)

I like the Idea of 100' lines myself, plenty of speed & still get the cleaner winds further off the ground... as for test strength, 300 lb on the Rush, & whatever I decide on the Profoil im still waiting for... not sure yet...

Nice, I think I will try tthat match up. I think I will get the most from the kite with less drag. At, least until the wind picks up. Thank you.

One thing, the longer lines will take some getting used to, yes you have a huge window and lots of room to make power with the kite, but it'll take longer for the kite to get from one side of the window to the other, normally not a factor, but when your say changing directions on a buggy or board it'll be an issue. If you're used to simply throwing the kite over and following you'll have to change your timing, start turning the kite, wait for it to be at least 1/2 way across the window then crank the buggy around, it'll take much longer to go from pulling right to pulling left.

Same holds true for jumping, you have to remember that it'll take the kite longer to hit the top of the window, you have to hold your edge for longer waiting for the kite to cover the extra ground. I find it a fair bit harder to jump with 30m lines than even the 25m lines.
