Across the pond.....
Yo guys,
Just wondering, how does powerkiting (in terms of popularity) compare between US and UK?

kite surfing is definitely more popular than buggying here, and I've noticed for some reason the ave age of the hardcore buggier is higher here than
in the UK.
Buggying was popular when I left the UK back in 97 and from what I read and see online it has gone from strength to strength - it seems like its a
real big thing now and power kites in general for the late teens to early 20-somethings. In contrast, it seems in the US there are a core group of
buggiers who have either been into it for quite some time, or even have just got started who are in the 30+ range (and quite a lot beyond that as
well!) - and don't get me wrong guys, that's awesome! I just don't remember seeing anyone in the same age range (or as many, at least) in the UK into
buggying?

THIS is exactly what I expected to here from someone that has played on both sides of the pond :wow:
It is changing pretty fast in the water world around here and the younger ones are starting to show up. The high cost of equipment was a factor for
sure at 1st. I liked it more when equipment was precious !!!! Wanting to protect your equipment kept the playing field a whole lot safer. Now 2 young
bravehearts throw together their $100 allowance and head out with a 14m blimp to see what this kiting thing is all about :flaming:
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .
