I have to chime in on this one- When Pansh was the hottest thing here I got sucked into the frenzy and bought 2 kites a 3 meter blaze and a 5 meter
Ace. At the time, both were under $100 each.
The Blaze really did not do anything more than my Bullet 2.5. Quality was good [except for the god awful lines!] I sold it and moved on.
Then the kite that could lift you to the moon [or not, depending on what day it was, 1st or second batch, or if you talked to Rose about your double
order!] came to us The Ace was born.
I have owned the Ace now for about 3 months and am still finding new facts about its flying attributes. Build Quality is very good- I still did not
use the new lines out of fear. It has been dragged, salt water injected and still is as good as the day I bought it. It can give great lift but sucks
to fly in light winds.[deflates, drops then inflates at the worst possible moment!]
It must be over corrected when coming down from a jump to prevent deflation in any wind types.
For some reason, the bridle has stopped getting tangled during parapacking. This use to be one of the worst characteristics of this kites build.
It pulls like a train and is slow to react to input but I still love to fly it.
Maybe it was the $100 price and I feel like I got a great bargain.
Would I buy one now at the current price? Probably not, I would buy a used Flexi or Ozone or something of that quality and history.

I think the the deal with pansh is that they seem to have quality control issues.
Take Beachrights ACE for example, compare it to mine and the review would be quite different.
My ACE, turns on a dime, is extremely stable, and can fly great in practically no wind. The best $100 bucks i've spent. I've also been flying it on
the crappy lines and handles. And after all the stretching there OK. They'll work anyway.

For a first timer that might get discouraged if they get a bunk kite its not for you. But on the other hand, I like that you can start with a full
ACE Quiver for the price of a single large Flexifoil or Ozone. Also increases your odds of getting a good one even if they were all made on Friday
night before closing...
What I dont understand is PANSH pricing.
$169 PANSH ACE 8.0m
$159 PANSH ACE 7.0m
$149 PANSH ACE 6.0m
$189 PANSH ACE 5.0m <------ Wha happened here?!!?!
$129 PANSH ACE 3.5m

Flexi is better in almost all ways. If cost is an issue then Pansh is worth a look. If you want quality and experience it's worth paying the extra for
Flexi, Ozone or Flysurfer. Just to name a few.
My 5m ace is getting a lot more air time than my 4.5 Bullet these days but that is mostly because I've not been riding the bug as much as Blades and
KGB.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

To strike a balance between quality and price, you shouldn't overlook the HQ products. Big boys mentioned by snowbird are no doubt very high quality
kites, but you really pay for them. They cost so much because of the VERY expensive materials they are made from and the craftsmanship put into them.
The HQ kites use slightly less expensive (probably not perceptibly different in performance except to the most seasoned professional) materials.
With HQ you are also getting something more beginner friendly than with Pansh. All the quality stuff you need is in the bag at around half what the
big boys charge. A newbie probably won't appreciate the difference in the beginning anyway. I am looking forward to my first chance to fly a Flexi
Blade and then I can tell you if I can discern a difference to justify doubling the price from a comparable HQ.:smug:

I'm scheming with Tridude to fly his 6.5 in a few months and am on the list to borrow the 4.9 sailing around N. America right now. That
Blue/red/white just makes me want one. I'll have to save my pennies. (and quarters too):sniff:
