Hmm ... which kite to get for the winter?
Okay so,
I think I've narrowed it down a bit.
I could spend a grand or so on a Manta 10m 2007 (used)
about 600$ on a 2007 Montana 9.5m (new)
$500 on a Flysurfer Psycho 10m (used)
or a Montana 3 for about 150$ off of stock price. (new)
So Manta is highest priced, then M3, M2, FS PII ....
Hmm... what do you guys personally think?
Cheers.
( Tridude, I think you need to reply to this to either steer me towards the M3 or away... )
EDIT: Plus, theres also the Naish Helix, North Rebel, OR One, or Cabrinha x-Bow or X-Air; but i don't think I'll get one of these... I'd like to
though... sighh

If your not takin it to the water next summer, the M3 would be an awesome choice. Very impressed with the 7m. Depending on your winds, and you do know
how to fly, Id go with the 9.5. The sail material and bridle have been improved from the M2. Better depower range and added stability. Lift, no
contest, the M3. This thing even jumps well static. I was impressed with the M2 after I flew it for a couple weeks but the M3 right out of the bag was
amazing. ACampbell flew it as well and will concur. But..............there may be some awesome deals on the Pulse with the Pulse 2 coming out in a few
weeks. Again, if youre staying on land/snow, the M3 would be an excellent choice!

Am I a psychic or what? :P
See - I know for a fact that I do plan for water, and the FS could be OK for that, but what I am not sure is if I will just go down the route of an
inflatable in the summer, or use one of my existing kites (which would make the FS kinda the only choice from that view.)
How do you like your FS on water tridude?

So far this has been a warm fall and not sure how much snow we will see this year. If it snows a lot and I decide to snow kite, I'd go for a Montana
II. From all reviews I have read, it's an awesome kite. Can't go wrong with that.

The P3 is awesome! Read the reviews on foilzone. They are all true. The 10m Pulse may be your ticket to a one kite depower quiver for land, snow, and
water depending on your local conditions. That 12m Phanny could fill your 35+ kt range, not sure but why fly a kite in 40 mph winds? With the Pulse 2
just about to ready to come out Im sure you could find a 10m for a good price. I saw one on ebay go for $550 this past August!

stick with a foil during the winter, even if you go with a LEI on water. winters are tough for LEI, you really reduce lifespan of a not robust kite.
Foils are made for that.
Even if you dont want a FS for water, they are awesome on land. but not so many delas even on the Pulse. Just sold mine one week ago for 1100$ CDN.
Not really cheap.
Between the choices you have, if $$ not a issue, then it would be manta2 or psycho3, but I have never tried a Montana and I've always heard good
feeback for it.
