Nephew initiation

Hi guys

I initiated my nephew 16yo to kiting today. Not a lot of wind, so it was a perfect day for that.

Took the access 4m, and then we switched to the Pulse 7m. They learn so fast these young kids. And lucky him to learn on some good equipment.

Now just after 1 afternoon, he's addicted. It all started when he was scudding and I told him to get back. He said I CAN'T with a soo BIG smile :D

Having a small budget, I was thinking a HQ montana2 for him. A friend of mine has a clearout on these and I can get a very good price.

But I wanted to know, if I can compare this kite to a Frenzy in term of quality, depower, etc..

Also he is 135 pounds, and budget for only 1 kite. Should he go with a 7 or 9.5 for snowkiting. He wont need a smaller kite, as I can let him play with my 4m for those big windy days

thanks

I have montana 2 7.0 and quality is good. Compared it yesterday, to peter lynn and flexifoil. I would say same as peter lynn but not as good as flexi. Nevertheles.
Depower is better then in Psycho 2, yet, the kite doesnt like big gusts. The only thing it lacks is good safety, the primary realease is #@%$#!ty. Sometimes it gets stuck which is not good.
If he is only 135 pounds I would grab 7.0 meter. It has lots of power, and in light wind flies great unhooked. To board I would say it need 20 kmh.
