Profoil 1.5 lines
What lines have you Profoil fliers had good results with on the smaller kites? I am heavy so I like robust lines but don't think this 1.5 needs 4-500
lb lines either. I'm also interested in length. I found as I've posted before that my beamer didn't like the 82' lines but flew much better on the
65's. Let me know what your thoughts are.

I've got 300/100lb/100' foot lines on my ProFoil 1.5mē & they work just fine for me, anything less may work better for lighter winds but
seeing as how the 1.5mē is a higher wind kite, & I like to fly with plenty of pull (Im 200lbs) & need to get above the wind shadows around
here, the 100' foot lines work well for that & give me longer power strokes & the 300/100lb lines more than handle any winds I've put it up in
so far...

The line set I have on my 4.5 is 485/220x80'.
Sorry I do not recall what is on my 2.5...I will email Angus to see if he would happen to have records that far back...my brain is about as gray as my
hair, and I can't remember that far back

Angus, which lines would you recommend? This little kite can't possibly demand the same lines I have on my Crossfire 5.0. I don't expect it to pick
me up, but I will try my best to hold it back and yes this will be the go-to kite when the power lines are singing. I will let my kids fly it in
normal winds so it needs to be able to lift its lines in tame winds.

For these I have 65' 150 lb over 90 lb sleeved knotted spectra lines. Pretty close to Ted's original specification.

Are they heavy duty lines or something you would expect to use on a kite this size. What length and strength would they be?

A lot still depends on the winds you fly in, & how long you like your power stroke through the zone, also the weight & drag of the of
the lines themselves & how powered up you like to fly the kite in, for your particular area...Plus how much reaction time you want to have with
your kite, in said winds...
With all that said, & learning to trust my lines more, my 300/100lb/100'foot lines do the trick for my ProFoil 1.5mē, maybe its overkill but at
200lbs myself, & knowing what the kite is capable of in higher winds, I wouldnt feel safe flying anything less as far as weight wise, & prefer
the 100'feet to get above the crappy winds I always seem to find with the lousy wind shadows...
