line length

im relatively new to jumping my question is about line length...do longer lines provide bigger better jumps cuz you have a larger effective window? what is the longest people go? we had a set of 20m and tried them but quickly went back to 25m because we were having much better results. this was 4.9m blade w/ handles 10-20kts air. also the lighter lines helped the kite fly faster it seemed which helped so i wasnt sure if it was the length as much as the weight of the lines. thanks

Longer lines create a bigger powerzone which may only be necessary if you are doing any traction activity. Longer lines also slow the response of the kite.

Blades are typically flown on 25m lines. All my kites are on 25 or 30m lines.

I like the 30m for my 2.5 and sometimes my 7.0, but generally prefer 25m for all else.

thanks B-roc, do bigger kites also fly better on longer lines for static jumping or does shorter get you more air.
