On Kite Cam?

I have seen the cam for the LEI's and that works really well as there is a strut to attach it to, but uhhh what do you do for a foil/arc? I hung a cam from the bridles and it just swings and gets horrible footage. Any ideas?

Thanks,
NPW

Good question.
I'm just waiting but a bullet cam is next toy in line. I have wondered how and what spot is best for a kite cam as well. If Popeye sees this I am impressed with the shots he has set up. Of course it is part kite flyer but his shots are nice and stable up there.

My 1st attempt was going to be zap straps B line center ??? If that didn't work I was going to check with Popeye.

Any tips ?

You could always make a Gyroscope controlled auto stabilizing camera rig.

I have tried numerous ways of fixing the cam, and a couple fixed to the lines of the kite, fixed with gaffer tape

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2U3nRlFvE0 helmet and on top of forks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg7mC-9gScs 1st time fixed to kite

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IjTLMC0ci8 2nd time fixed to kite

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvIycklCsCg fixed to the side rails

I found to get the best result is to attach the cam where two lines meet on the bridle, with a line either side of the cam it hold it in place better, but I am still experimenting

I have now made a bracket to fix the cam to my rear axle
axle cam clamp

thanks Popeye,

Am I correct in my guess that trying to center it is good??

It looks like you have mounted it to one side ???
