$10 extra Fee

Why is there an additional $10 Fee for registrants that register less than 14 days before the event?

I can't speak for the people that organize the NABX event but I have done similar not for profit things in the past things in the past some of the reasons you give a discount to people who register early are:

You can get an idea of how well it will be attended

Generate some operating capital to pay for fees and other upfront cost

In the case of size related items (tee shirts) you can know what to order and only have to guess about hopefully less than ten percent overages that will cut into the revenues generated.

Keeping in mind that even a fish wouldn't get in trouble if he kept his mouth shut. I would like to add that the tone of your posts that refer to NABX and its organization seem bitter or antagonistic. Obviously I don't know if that is your intent just my observation. An example would be your post demanding a firm schedule of racing events.
I am sure well founded criticism with the goal of increasing the experience are appreciated as topics of discussion.

I would like to take just a few worlds to thank the people that do organize and run NABX. I have only attended two years but have felt it was well run for an event as large and diverse in the people that attend.

It's also so Claxton and the other volunteers get in some buggy time instead of having to spend the whole week getting folks registered. If people know it's going to cost more later, they tend to register before the event.

+1 on the 'tude, btw.

Thank you gbrown, you have answered this question adequately.

For those who do not have internet access, we recommend using an internet terminal at the library, civic center or internet cafe. You may also contact the organizing team for instructions on how to register by mail.

Please send website or registration recommendations via U2U or email.
