Racing at SLP first weekend of May?

Whether it's to the water tower and back for a beer... or setting up cones and bring what you fly type of race, and the limited format race ( no bigger than X meter kite).

Rule number 1: Yes AJ... you can go backwards against the NPW's to give them a fair chance....

Rule number 2: Have fun!

I think that covers the basics, other than to help out a fellow buggier so we can all be safe and keep being able to do one of the things we all love.

Depends. A call has gone out for volunteers for the race committee and no one has stepped up. Typical. Many want to race but not put in the effort needed before, and even at the event to make it happen. So why should it? /rant

If people want to race... cool. If not, that's fine too... we'll all just have a good time. Several people have volunteered to help, me included.

The ones who want points and to be competitive can race in one group, the others (including those with their numbers on paper plates) can race in another.

Main thing is to keep it safe, and keep it fun. If we can keep things fun, others will want to join in... no matter how competitive it gets.

Or we can simply meet on the beach, race to the water tower and back for a drink ('cept I'd go broke buying all those Red Stripes, Buds, and Red Bulls ).

Yes... us buggiers can be a disorganised group at times. But we all love to put a kite in the air and go...
