Shot Car Racing at nabx

Hey Sailors,
Or should that be "Hey Racers"?
There will be Shot Car Racing at nabx, regardless of the weather.
This will be the last time I'll organize (?) these Shot Car Races, so it should be in the top two we've ever had.

Let the smack talk begin...

Sanctioning for these races will be under the auspices of the American Shot Car Racing Association of America and we shall strictly adhere to all ASCRAA rules.

We will have three (count 'em - 3) tracks this year.
A full-out Grand Prix 4 lane superspeedway,
and two (2) high-speed short courses with two lanes each.

Lanes will be the regulation 2" width.
Racing Shot Cars must fit on the track...
Or not.
Sort of depends on the situation and the sobriety (or lack thereof) of the Officiating Official.

Luckily the Shot Cars do not wander like I do.

While preparing your Shot Car for racing...
Remember what "Buckshot" Benson once said...
(...With his fake foreign accent...)
"First I kicks your butt... Then I takes your woman"

Do we have to have numbers on our cars?

And did I read somewhere, the higher quality the "spirits" the better the time?

We will put Ron Gibian in charge of the rules, he will know exactly what to say and do at any given moment!

Rules change will be announced when they change, and shot cars shall conform to the makers idea of what a shot car looks like. If the maker decides his shot car doesn't conform to the makers vision he is compelled to pass it on.

All racers are required to give at least one shot car away as a token of their hope for wind(Earl).

While shot car racing is encouraged heed the words of the Lama well, as he will no longer be running shot car races at this event.

If you weren't here for the race, you will miss it.

Hey Racers,

RULES!
Yes! Yes!!
But not FISLY rules.
They haven't yet been modified sufficiently to be a buzz-kill to Shot Car Racing.
We'll use ASCRAA rules. (Amer. Shot Car Racing Assoc of Amer.)
They are internationally recognized ("Didn't I see you in Canada?") and lots funnier.
Colored flags will be waved (woven?) through-out the event.

Actually, gravity is in charge.

Right on about the high-octane performance advantages of premium fuels.
Last years track records were all set using the best of the best.

If you don't personally race yourself, you could at least attend to watch the hysterical antics of those who do.
Why come all the way to attend a gathering of like-minded buggiers and then go hang out in a casino or your room?
We're all a silly bunch every night in the tent.
Entry-fee is simply bring your own shot cars to race and gift.
I will have loaners and rentals Shot Cars available on-site for the feeble, forgetful few.

Our motto?

"This ain't rocket-surgery!"

Ok, off topic, but in that collection of photos, among other good photos, is one very funny picture of Blake.

Hey Racers,

I guess the secret is out...
At nabx 07, during the Shot Car Racing,
There were drop-trou match races (as the photos prove).
Fortunately all participants were wearing underwear.

Not required for Shot Car racing, but we seek to reduce weight and drag in any way possible.
What clever ideas do YOU have up your sleeve?
Or pant leg?

Besides, after an hour or more of hard-fought Shot Car racing, this was our "next best idea".

Everyone is a Winner!

Question about Passing and the no overtaking zone. So If I'm rushing to the outhouse at a significant pace and someone is closer than I am but moving slower,

HOw far out from the center of the out house is the No Overtaking Zone?

and does you BAC matter?

Actually it was a Double Header. After the Porta Potty company set them back up, they blew over again!

(After that I suggested they set them up next to the dumpster to keep them from blowing over... dunno if it ever happened)

Windjet had a blast that day!...

yeah ,I tried to get Richard toasted and say yes to swapping rides the night before .I did get him to sign and take my landsailer for a spin ,he wrote me a few weeks ago and said he was trying iceboating in montana in feb . BLM wont let him on the Playa anymore from what he said.I was afraid to ask about how Liberty was because I think his girlfriends are subject to change without notice ,the way he travels and all.

What if....what if someone is so drunk they drop trow and start peeing on the racer next to him....does he get a warning....or ousted immediately. And if this drunkerd appeals who takes appeal payments.

What if someone falls asleep in the tent with their shoes on?
