Current Conditions at Sunset?

What's are the conditions like right now?

I saw some pics from up around the spit and the shipwreck and it looks like lots of logs rolled in and the tide was really high.

yep, there's definitely some logs, not too bad for this time of year really. The tides for next weekend are looking pretty good. Weather forecast for next weekend is looking rather promising as well. Tomorrow may not be too bad early in the morning but the beach will be disappearing around 11 to 12.

Hope that helps,

:smug:

Any Tips for Beach Riding

I am just getting into kites and am planning to get some skates for the beach here in Daytona, FL. We are lucky to have a pretty wide hard beach, so almost anything will roll on it. Winds have been pretty strong and steady this time of year too. Should be fast.

Any special tips I could use for buggy or skating on the beach? Thanks, Jim Bowen

Don't lie Sunset Jim, I saw bigfoot tracks on the beach the other day, had to be yours. I didn't know you could go straight for so long! Tell them the part about the rock hard dunes and steady onshore winds.

The beach is in excellent shape!!! The logs are burried on the windward side, so nice jumps.

Stevo from p-town has been out all weekend, I'm a little upset he keeps coming in here telling me all about it, I'm like "dude, you see me working, in a shop full of power kite gear, day dreaming about Flying my new Haka", and he scored an 8.6m yakuza. sssuuuuuper sexy kite.

and he's like ' yeah but, blah blah blah" I'm like 'I just deleted you from my myspace page', and he finally left. I was joking. It's been great sailing!!!

:saint: That's exactly why I didn't mention how there has been some awesome moments lately, for the unfortunates (like you found yourself today) that haven't been able to make it out lately.

We should be able to have some great races next weekend.... Don't anybody miss out if you can help it.
